Granville Island is located below the Granville Street Bridge which connects downtown Vancouver with the communities to the south.

From the airport, take Granville Street north. As you approach 16th Ave., look for the sign for Granville Island. Turn right at 16th, then left on Hemlock. Turn left at 4th Ave., then right onto the island.

If you are driving up I-5 from Seattle, is becomes Hwy 99 as you cross the border. This becomes Oak St. as you enter the city. Follow Oak St. to 12th Ave. and turn left. Turn right on Hemlock, left on 4th Ave., then right onto the island.

Granville Island is home to dozens of art galleries, a magnificent public market, a brewery, a lobster-mart, an art school, a cement plant, a glass blower, restaurants, live theatre... a very eclectic and artist-friendly place to spend a weekend!
